Neo-Renaissance facade

One of Budapest's most significant and well-known historic buildings, the Hungarian State Opera House, is part of the World Heritage Site. Designed by Miklós Ybl, the Neo-Renaissance palace on Andrássy Avenue was built in the late 19th century and offers a breathtaking facade, not only due to its structure but also its intricate ornamentation. Walking around the building, one can discover and appreciate all the characteristic features of the Neo-Renaissance style. Strolling through the side streets of the city center, the facades of dilapidated tenement houses reveal familiar elements: aediculated windows, rusticated masonry, and animal motifs complemented by floral decorations.

Neoreneszánsz homlokzat

Budapest egyik legjelentősebb és legismertebb műemléképülete a világörökség részét képző Magyar Állami Operaház. Ybl Miklós tervei alapján a 19. század végén épült Andrássy úti neoreneszánsz palota homlokzata egyedülálló látványt nyújt, nem csak szerkezete, díszítése miatt is. Az épületet körbejárva valamennyi neoreneszánsz stílusjegyet felfedezhetünk, megismerhetünk. A belváros mellékutcáiban sétálva a romos bérházak homlokzatain visszaköszönnek az aediculás ablakok, a kváderezések, a virágdíszekkel kiegészített állatmotívumok.
